Bro. Ian McClellan

Bro. Ian McClellan is the youth and worship minister at the FBC in Bethel Springs, Tn. He and his wife Jodi moved to Bethel Springs from Memphis where he attended Visible School Music and Worship Arts College. At Visible School Ian received a Bacholors in Modern Music Ministry and graduated with Cum Laude and Excellence in Percussion Etude honors. ”We are so glad to be able to serve God’s Kingdom here in Bethel Springs, we know that this is right where God wants us.” Says Ian.

Ian gave his life to the Lord in 7th grade while attending an Aquire the Fire youth convention in St. Louis, MO. “I remember being so broken as I cried for God to save me, and he did, he meet me right there on that dirty concrete floor. Life has never been the same!” Exclaimed Ian. Over the following years after giving his life to Christ he started to feel the call to life long ministry. He adds, ”I knew that God wanted to use me, at that point in my life I was growing spiritually, musically, and artistically, and all I wanted was to use all of that to His Glory.”

Ian started in youth work at a very young age. He was the president of the youth bible study group IMPACT from 2002-04. This is were Ian began to feel a pull toward ministry with youth. “I thought music was all that God was calling me to do, but boy was I wrong! Suddenly I was leading other youth in ministry through the bible. I had already been leading youth in music and worship, but God added this extra dynamic of preaching that I had never imagined I would ever have.” As he continued to discover the gifts that God had given him, God reinforced Ian’s calling to ministry in may areas of his life.

Ever since Ian gave his life to Christ as a 7th grader he has continued to serve Christ with a zeal that no man could break. ”I love God with all my heart, without him I am nothing. I thank God everyday for the great blessings he has bestowed on me: His Love, my wife, family, friends, a great church family, God is so good.”
